Frequently asked questions about mistletoe...
How do I know my mistletoe is fresh?
We harvest the mistletoe from our own cider orchards in Worcestershire and cut daily to guarantee freshness.
What is the best way to care for my mistletoe?
You need to keep your mistletoe cool until you want to use it, ideally outside in the cold. When you bring the mistletoe indoors into a warm house it will start to dry out so make sure you do not hang your mistletoe indoors too early. It should happily hang indoors for a week or two if it is not exposed to an extremely fierce heat such as over a fire place.
Is mistletoe poisonous?
Both the berries and leaves of mistletoe are toxic therefore the eating of mistletoe is not advised. Keep the mistletoe away from children and pets, if such an event happens we strongly suggest seeking medical advice immediately. Finally, please make sure you always wash your hands after handling the mistletoe.
